MEMORY HOLE: 2024
DEC 2024: IT'S DEMAGO-GO TIME!!
‘WHAT DO YOU WANT’
NOW LOUDER AND WITH MORE CUSSING!
Too many twists and turns to count this year. Let's just say our timing on the rollout wasn't optimal… With the vinyl and tapes in hand, we're good to go for next month's release party… And so, here's the WDYW video again - this time it's the album version featured… no radio edits and featuring the album master by the one and only Pete Letros of Wreckhouse mastering! Give ‘er another go and share it around like you need a heroic dose of Valtrex and don’t give a goddamn. It's worth the re-visit… And hell knows we could use the push ahead of the album drop. PA-POW!!

Demagogo: Release Party!!!
When: Saturday, January 18, 2025
Where: Bovine Sex Club, Toronto
Admission: $10
Mark your calendars and prepare your eardrums. The Demagogo release party is hitting the Bovine Sex Club on January 18th, and it’s going to be a night to remember (or forget, depending on your bar tab / entourage).
We’re teaming up with the incomparable Sex Cat, who’ve promised to bring sex… and cats. Plus, you’ll have first dibs on the new album, fresh merch, and the joy of hearing us play a set packed with tracks from Demagogo. It’s going to be loud, sweaty, and offensively delicious.
…also… $10 !? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!
Demagogo: TIMMINS Listening Party:
When: Saturday, January 11, 2025
Where: Full Beard Brewing, Timmins, Ontario
Hey Timmins—three times in eight months?! On January 11th, we’re back at Full Beard Brewing for an exclusive Demagogo listening party. Expect records, a pop-up merch booth, and—for the first time ever—a five-song acoustic set.
We’ve never played unplugged before, so this will either be a historic first or the most creative way we’ve ever set ourselves on fire. Either way, you’re getting the jump a full week before the release party because… home.
Demagogo Giveaway: Post for Free Stuff
Want a free copy of Demagogo on vinyl? We thought so. Here’s your mission: post something about us on Instagram. It can be a photo, a meme, or an impressionist portrait in Crayola. Don't care. Just tag us, and you’re in the running.
The winner gets a signed Demagogo vinyl, we get some reach, and your Instagram feed gets a little more insufferable.
“Bring Back 8-Track” Tees: Luddites Unite
Why 8-track? Because it’s irrelevant and forgotten (like us) and because no one else at the merch table has em… In case you weren't paying attention to the last update - our quest to become the world’s first #ludditecore band has led to the release of Demagogo on a format that peaked when “portable" meant chunky tapes in your uncle's '74 Eldorado. It’s all part of our deep commitment to make everything harder than it needs to be.
To commemorate this bold, unnecessary choice, we’ve printed a batch of “Bring Back 8-Track” tees. These shirts aren’t just a celebration of a long-dead format—they’re a statement. A flag for the proudly analog. A middle finger to streaming. Plus, they’re super soft.
These are damn limited. Grab one and let the world know you stand for something. Or at least confuse it (further).
AUGUST 2024:
ROTR RECAP
July 20th saw us back in Timmins for the 2nd time this year for the Rock on the River festival. The band arrived a few days early to sneak in rehearsals, shoot a quick video and take in the sights. Tim was ruthlessly snubbed by Lita Ford on Classic Rock night. A reassuring sign in uncertain times that some things remain predictable.
Big thanks to Al and Sue Taylor for putting us up at their lakeside compound, allowing us to take over the garage, tolerating the excessive noise for several days and hosting the best damn BBQ of the summer.
Show day went off without a hitch thanks to the excellent planning and organization of our new friends at TFEC (Timmins Festivals and Events Committee). The accommodations were far in excess of anything we're used to… or probably deserve… Likely wrecking our perception of ’normal’ shows for the foreseeable future. Thanks to the fine folks (all volunteers) of TFEC for a day we'll never forget.
Shout outs are owed to Jason Taylor for the ongoing cat herding and disaster mitigation, Jon Canie, Claude Gagnon & Davis Dewsbury for running & hauling for several days, Krissy for the loads of pics and videos, Meghan Gagnon for running our merch booth (again), Drew Gauley for coming in from New Liskeard to shoot the video, Tyler Burns for helping us out with the extended accommodations and lending us his drums (again), Lorne Hounsell (Danko Jones) for pulling double duty and mixing our set, John Emms for the continued support online and in the Timmins Daily Press, and all the excellent folks who showed up to be extras in the video and who hung around for the open rehearsal.
DEMAGOGO RELEASE DATE:
January 18th, 2025 at the BOVINE SEX CLUB! Release date is FINALLY locked! Announcement for a pre-release listening party in Timmins and pre-order links for the vinyl will drop in the next newletter - SIGN UP HERE!
Yeah, yeah we said autumn but what would this record be without one last delay?! Without diving into details, the excuses around this one were pretty solid… And now we'll have the distinction of SMASHING the “2nd album in 18 months” cliché, being able to officially say the Sweetspot follow-up took a QUARTER-CENTURY to finish! Someone get Guiness on the horn.
MERCH UPDATE:
Following the Timmins show, our tee stocks have been depleted yet again! Thanks to all our home town friends (again) for supporting. The online shop reflects the few pieces that are left. Watch for updated inventory and remaining ROTR “fun packs” when the pre-order link for the DEMAGOGO vinyl drops in the next update.
JUNE 2024:
Happy June folks. Some personal stuff has recently popped up which will will make updates a little less regular for the next while... Also, with 3 spectacularly underperforming singles now officially dropped - and with us taking care of housecleaning before the LP drops, there's not a ton to report.
ROTR ANNOUNCEMENT
So old news by now with the delayed update but for anyone who may have missed it, we were invited to play the “big show” in Timmins on July 20th as part of rock night at the “Rock on the River” festival in Timmins…. That means 2 back-to-back Timmins gigs in 3 months after a 20 year hiatus… Cosmic… Anyway, super excited to be sharing the stage again with old friends, the one and only Danko Jones…. Scan the poster to see some other notable acts playing that night :). We'll be opening the evening and are slated to go on at 6:20(ish) so get there early and hit the newly restocked merch booth. It may be a while 'til we come back up north after this one. GET TICKETS HERE!
“Tongue” RELEASE
Our 3rd Demagogo single "Under Your Tongue" was released last month, and has been out in the wild on all platforms. Thanks to Paul Cash Pure Rock Fury for the exclusive premier. If you haven't streamed it yet, Check it out here. Despite our better judgment and strong objections on lyric videos (the “discount retail coupons of music”), out of necessity, we stooped and squatted one out for this single. The ‘real’ video will come later this year. Check it here… footage harvested from Tim's & Paolo’s drive up to Timmins for the gig that happened on April 20.
DEMAGOGO UPDATE:
As we move into the final stages, slapping the finishing touches on DEMAGOGO, a release date announcement is just around the corner. For now, we can say “Fall 2024” - and that the first run of records will be super limited (200 and on fancy wax).
For those who would like to get a jump, we'll be setting up a pre-order link in the next update. Email list members will get advanced access so signup now if you haven't already. Based on the feedback we've been getting since releasing the singles, these will probably go quick. While in the store, consider grabbing one of the last few copies of Sweetspot as well. We’re down to a handful and we have no plans (or cash) to repress.

“BOURBON” VIDEO SHOOT
Are you a relatively good looking resident of the greater Timmins area between the ages of 20 and 80, looking for your big break? Consider joining us for an exclusive, intimate event ahead of our set at Rock on the River on the afternoon/evening of July 19th.
If you're interested in appearing as an extra in the music video for the Demagogo instrumental banger “Bourbon for the Bilaw Officer”, reach out and message us for details at management@puddy.tv.
Following filming, the band will rip through a short, intimate instrumental-only set for folks who comes out. Attendees will have first pick through our merch inventory before the ROTR show the following day.
IHAN RADIO SHOUT OUTS:
Some shout outs for the support on the 2nd single "It Has A Name". In April/May it was featured on 94.9 The Rock OSHAWA's "Generation Next" with some super nice words from Christian Tanna of IME fame…. The track was also featured on Rock95’s (Barrie) "Garage to Glory" segment, as well as getting a great push by our friend Paul Cash of Pure Rock Fury in the UK! Thank you to Christian, Rachel and Paul for your kind words.

APR 20 TIMMINS RECAP:
Timmins! Victory Tavern! Holy Hannah!! Our triumphant return to our home town after 2+ decades was one for the books and exceeded most expectations... Show was sold out! Thanks to everyone who showed up and spent time with us. Also, thanks to everyone who viciously raided and cleaned out the merch booth! The cash machine was completely dry by the end of the night. Pretty sure y’all set a record. Anyway, super grateful for the support - it'll go a long way to wiping out the remaining few bills we have on the record.
Extra thanks to Jason for keeping everything on the rails and running merch, Drew and Ken for taking the time to come out and shoot the show, to our old friend Tyler for hooking us up with drums AND accommodations, Jon for promoting, Jon Emms for the press, Claude for hauling and for safely storing our gear, Megan for helping us at the booth, Lionel for letting us return to “the spot” and for the stroll down memory lane, Lee for donating his PA and time, and to Claybelt and The Gary Bueseys for the killer support! Big congrats to Davis for winning our Merch prizepack Giveaway! Photos from the show below courtesy of our friend Kenneth Harrison

APRIL 2024: 3rd Time's A Tongue

And we're live! “UNDER YOUR TONGUE” has hit the platforms today. Be sure to head over to your favorite streaming platform and give it a spin (on repeat), add it to your favorites and share it on social.
Thanks to Paul Cash again for the excellent worldwide premiere on his show a couple of weeks ago. If you missed, it, you can stream it HERE!
Video for this one is taking a little bit. The track demanded we go a little more weird / trippy for this one so we're diligently dialing in the background. Keep an eye on our socials in the coming weeks for some preivews of what's to come.
YOUR MOVE… TIMMINS!!
Even with the extreme heat pouring out of all the Vic's openings during the hottest show in town; we cannot guarantee you won't be feeling left out in the cold if you sleep on this. Our cell service will likely crap out when we pass Barrie so don't count on texting one of us for VIP velvet rope access day of.
This is the last call for advance tickets for Puddy's Homecoming Timmins show at the Victory Tavern! There's still a few left so be sure to hit Eventbrite for yours.
$22.50 adv. - in case you've been living under a rock, that's a crazy super-duper steal of a deal for live entertainment. Jump on it while you still can!
YOU'LL OWN MERCH.
…AND YOU'LL BE HAPPY!
While you're time travelling with our catalogue on repeat, make the experience complete by popping over to the store and grabbing a piece of Puddy swag - Most of our merch is hand-made in house so miraculously, prices are pretty much what they were in 1999!
Next time you're hurled into the depths of despair and self-loathing after dropping $50 at a drive-thru for a couple of Big Macs, remember - PUDDY's got your back. As long as we're around, there's a place you can turn to where 2001 hasn't happened yet.

March 2024: Dropping #2
I.H.A.N. VIDEO DROP!!!
Another drop day is upon us… Lucky, lucky, LUCKY you. After all the cryptic social posts and teasing, you finally get the full-frontal visual assault to compliment our 2nd Demagogo mega smash hit. Check out the epic IT HAS A NAME music video NOW on our ultra-slo-grow YouTube channel that you're not subscribed to!
This one sees the band rocking away in a Timmins-esque barren arctic expanse; Wilting under heat lamps like soggy hamburgers, trapped in the oh-so mysterious geodesic glass dome that has been repeatedly teased across all our channels.
What is that thing?! A domeagogo? What's it doing in the bush? Why the hell is the band in there? Where's the door? What fantastically wonderous surprises await?!?
Rest assured, NONE of these questions will be answered. In fact, you'll likely leave with more questions… Be one of the select few super hip, taste-making rebels out there who dare to spend 4 minutes with our seemingly incoherent conceptual calls. We've been told by reputable sources that EVERY VIEW COUNTS. After all the work that went into this one - and the ruthless, indifferent nature of algorithmic artificial selection… We need all of 'em we can possibly pull! GO NOW (please / TY)!
SINGLE DROP: “IT HAS A NAME”

Welcome to March 2024. As the dumpster fire rages on, accelerating and consuming everything everywhere, our 2nd Demagogo single “It Has a Name” has covertly dropped amidst the 60 thousand other releases of the day.. And it’s totally a super big deal.
For this round, we’ve adjusted our rollout to account for nonexistent attention spans and the increasing disposability of music. Instead of dropping the “IHAN” music video on the same day as the single, we’re staggering it’s release to March 15th. A move that will hopefully give y'all a reason to come re-visit on this round and afford us a bit more mileage on this song ahead of the last single “Under Your Tongue” coming in the spring.
Help us out… If you dig “What Do You Want” and “It Has A Name”, PLEASE follow us and add the songs to your favorites on your streaming platform of choice… and share it with friends and fam who you think will appreciate a solid 3:30ish romp in the time machine that is our current and back catalogs… Also, don’t be afraid to stream it MULTIPLE TIMES! Both tracks get much better with MANY listens - promise… Oh, and also… LOUD… AND NOT through your phone speaker. What are you, some kind of animal?
Album versions of singles:
The final album versions of the singles “What Do You Want” & “It Has A Name” are now available for purchase. The only versions in circulation on streaming / radio until the album drop are WDYW (clean / no swears) and IHAN (edit / :20 shorter). If you'd like the final versions now, they're available for $1 CAD each exclusively from the music page on this site. Be the first to hear em!

MERCH STORE PRICE DROPs:
The winds of change are a-blowin’ HARD.... And it FUCKIN STINKS. “Stakeholder Capitalism” indeed. While our corporate overlords and their shareholders enjoy the spoils from piggybacking on the crest of this record-smashing inflationary cycle, it seems the only innovation (outside of eliminating payroll through AI), is in clever and deceitful ways to short-change the consumer.
We’ve had it. Much like what we did with our ticket prices in January (rolling back to 90s admission prices), we’re taking the hit so you don’t have to. Starting today, we’ve reduced prices of popular items in our merch booth and set 'em to what they were in the better world of the early 2000s. Grab some swag before we end up bankrupting the band through our terrible business instincts.

Timmins 4/20 Show:
This one is coming up quick! Our first homecoming show of the ‘resurrection’ - and our first in Timmins in 21 years! Tickets are going pretty quick with a good chunk already gone. Grab some before this one sells out! Word on the street is that capacity is pretty strictly enforced at the venue so don't leave this til night-of. The last thing we wanna see is your sad mug on the sidewalk, mouth breathing steam onto the windows at the Vic because you procrastinated. We'd feel terrible.
Get your tickets now at Eventbrite.
FEBRUARY 2024:
In spite of a slightly ham-fisted launch, The rollout of our 1st new single in over a decade “What Do You Want” was by most metrics, a success.… So yay team. Thanks to Jay and Jon for their many hours of dedication and frustration, working diligently at what can only be compared to herding cats… To Krissy, Chris C, Davis D and everyone else who helped make noise on social and to everyone who streamed and liked the track and video. The song was picked up by a pile of playlists across several platforms in Canada and the US and received thousands of streams and a ton of great reviews and feedback.
The video launch was also a success, pulling in over 10k views between all posts on YT, IG and FB with no boosting in the first couple of weeks. YT numbers could definitely be better so if you get a sec, please help us out by giving it a watch, follow and like.
On the more traditional front, the song was immediately picked up by 97.7 CHOM FM in Montreal as a New Music Friday feature on launch day - as well as being featured in the following weeks as 2024's first “Big Shiny New Song”
with daily spins on CHOM and great response from listeners. Thanks to Bilal and Pierre for the support and for the kind words on-air.

TIMMINS SHOW LOCKED n' LOADED!
GRAB YOUR TICKETS NOW! Saturday April 20, 2024
A brief 21 YEARS after taking the stage at the Land of the Lakes festival, we'll be returning to the band's birthplace, Timmins Ontario!
This will be one for the books, kiddos. Killer lineup - Joining us will be our old friends The Gary Buseys and Cochrane's Clay Belt! The show will be at the one and only Victory Tavern. Head over to Eventbrite and pick yourself up a set before they're gone. We'll have some killer merch available only at this show…
MERCH UPGRADES
Speaking of which, last month, someone let us know they were charged duty on a domestic order, We did some digging and took a closer look at the drop shipping service we were using… We were pretty disgusted with what we found. Long story short, we immediately purchased a bunch of gear and are now silk screening our own apparel in-house.
The online merch store's been revamped, streamlined and improved. All Puddy merch will now be shipped directly from Puddy HQ and prices on tees have been adjusted to reflect the squeezing of the parasitic drop shipping middle men out of the pipe.
"WE'RE THE ONES… SELLING OUT!!
Big 'ol thanks to everyone who made their way out to the 2 comeback special shows in January. We couldn't have hoped for better return... Suppose this means you guys are stuck with us for a while after all.
Saturday's Toronto homecoming show was a sold-out event at the Bovine Sex Club. We couldn't have hoped for a better night. The Bovine has always been great for us but the response on Jan 20th was insane. THANKS to all our friends who came out to support (and indulge us) in what is obviously a mid life crisis gone nuclear. Was insanely cool to see so many old friends in the same room. For a few hours, time (and back pain) melted away and we felt like kids. Only regret is not being able to spend more time with everyone.
Thanks to Electric Magma, Ol' Time Moonshine, Darryl, and the Bovine Sex Club for a night that's easily gone down as one of our top shows - and to Joe Zé Lopez (@choppix) and Andrew Rhodes for coming out and taking a pile of killer photos! Check the galleries to the right (From Joe) and below (from Andrew).
Despite over a foot of snow in Niagara the day of our gig at Camp Cataract, the room was bumpin'. We made a lot of new friends including the boys from a KILLER Niagara outfit IVY GARDENS who put on a great show.
Thanks to Mike, Brian and Camp Cataract for hosting us - and for the artisanal hotdogs - which we burned about 15 minutes of radio air pumping while advancing the gigs. Also big thanks to 4680Q and Niagara411 for the features, to Erin for hosting us on the air… and for the birthday dog specially delivered in the middle of our set. Check out the Viz show on 4680q.com!!
jan 2024: IGNITION!

If you haven't already, please stop by our Instagram, Facebook and TikTok pages and consider giving us a follow.
