PUDDY EPK:
LOUD. RELENTLESS. HOOKED FOR LIFE.
"This band is like a high speed train that could fly off the tracks at any moment -- but never does! An amazing white knuckle ride"
- Andy Curran (Envy of None, Coney Hatch, RUSH)

Emerging from the frostbitten edge of Northern Ontario in 1993, Puddy clawed their way from the basements of Timmins to the sweaty dive bars of Toronto. The band carved out a name with feral live shows and hook-heavy stoner-punk anthems. By the early 2000s, they’d become a cult fixture in Canada’s indie rock scene, propelled by their breakout LP Sweetspot (2000) and a victory in 97.7 HTZ-FM’s Rocksearch—a platform that launched Finger Eleven, The Trews and Glorious Sons.
Following support slots for Our Lady Peace, Big Sugar, Danko Jones, Sam Roberts, Finger Eleven, Unsane, J Mascis & The Fog, Theory of a Deadman, Nickelback and many others, the band signed with Sony Music Canada in 2002. A major-label merger shelved their next record after 3 years of work, and by 2012, PUDDY disappeared - until now.
Reuniting in 2023, the band returned with a vengeance: new singles, sold-out club shows, and a festival slot alongside Buckcherry, Live, and Danko Jones. Their new album Demagogo (2025) - co-produced by Andy Curran and mixed by Vic Florencia (Danko Jones, Headstones, Olivia Rodrigo) - dives into themes of loss, aging, and resilience with a sound that’s heavier, weirder, and sharper than ever.
Pressed on vinyl, cassette, and yes - even 8-track tape, Demagogo is a full-circle return to their analog, DIY tape trading roots. The band’s performances remain unpredictable, explosive, and laser-tight.
With several sold out headlining dates in the books and new shows and festival dates on the horizon, PUDDY’s second life is proving louder than their first.
